What is “Taking care of Earth”?

Taking care of Earth is a Kindergarten – 1st grade science skill in the Animal Homes region of the TernQuest map — where animals live & caring for earth. It is aligned to Next Generation Science Standards standard K-ESS3-3. Children work through 20 grade-tagged questions at the apply level (applying the idea), and Pip the tern offers a hint — never the answer — when they get stuck.

How does it unlock?

Skills on the map unlock in order: finishing the skill before this one with a mastery score of 60 or more opens taking care of earth. A grown-up can also assign it directly from the dashboard, and teachers can assign it to a whole class with a join code.
