Welcome to TernQuest! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website and services ("Service") operated by TernQuest ("we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Service.
1. Use of the Service
TernQuest is an educational app that helps children in grades K–5 practice math and reading through adaptive games, a friendly AI tutor, and progress reports for grown-ups. You agree to use the Service only for its intended, lawful, educational purpose.
2. Accounts & children
Accounts are created and controlled by adults — a parent/guardian or a teacher. You must be 18 or older to create an account. You may set up child profiles ("learners") for children in your care; a child does not create their own account. You are responsible for the child profiles you create, for obtaining any consent required to enroll a child, for supervising a child's use, and for keeping your account credentials secure. You agree to provide accurate information and are responsible for all activity under your account. Teachers represent that they are authorized by their school to add students and, where applicable, to consent on parents' behalf as permitted by law.
3. Payments and Subscriptions
Some features may require a paid subscription. By subscribing, you agree to pay the listed fees. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled, and fees are non-refundable except as required by law.
4. Intellectual Property
All content, trademarks, and other materials in the Service are owned by or licensed to TernQuest. You may not use them without permission.
5. Learning data
As a child uses the Service, we process their answers, scores, and progress to personalize learning and produce reports, as described in our Privacy Policy. We use this data to provide and improve the Service; we do not sell it and we do not use it for third-party advertising. The Service does not allow children to post public content or message strangers.
6. Prohibited Conduct
While using the Service, you agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal or malicious activity
- Attempt to access another family's or class's data, or circumvent the grown-up controls
- Share account credentials or class codes outside your household or class
- Probe, scrape, overload, or reverse-engineer the Service
7. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately.
8. Limitation of Liability
TernQuest is provided "as-is" without warranties. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the new Terms.
