What is “Seasons & the night sky”?

Seasons & the night sky is a 5th grade science skill in the Sun, Stars & Shadows region of the TernQuest map — the sun's size, shadows, seasons & gravity. It is aligned to California Common Core standard 5-ESS1-2. Children work through 0 grade-tagged questions at the reason level (reasoning it through), and Pip the tern offers a hint — never the answer — when they get stuck.

How does it unlock?

Skills on the map unlock in order: finishing the skill before this one with a mastery score of 60 or more opens seasons & the night sky. A grown-up can also assign it directly from the dashboard, and teachers can assign it to a whole class with a join code.
