What is “How long is it?”?

How long is it? is a Kindergarten math skill in the Shape Builder Bay region of the TernQuest map — name shapes, build new ones, share fairly & measure length. It is aligned to California Common Core standard 1.MD.2. Children work through 24 grade-tagged questions at the apply level (applying the idea), and Pip the tern offers a hint — never the answer — when they get stuck.

How does it unlock?

Skills on the map unlock in order: finishing the skill before this one with a mastery score of 60 or more opens how long is it?. A grown-up can also assign it directly from the dashboard, and teachers can assign it to a whole class with a join code.
