Practise why & how in TernQuest →What is “Why & how”?
Why & how is a Kindergarten reading skill in the Story River region of the TernQuest map — read short stories & think about them. It is aligned to California Common Core standard RL.1.2. Children work through 20 grade-tagged questions at the reason level (reasoning it through), and Pip the tern offers a hint — never the answer — when they get stuck.
How does it unlock?
Skills on the map unlock in order: finishing the skill before this one with a mastery score of 60 or more opens why & how. A grown-up can also assign it directly from the dashboard, and teachers can assign it to a whole class with a join code.
