When to loop
Practise when to loop in TernQuest →What is “When to loop”?
When to loop is a 4th grade coding skill in the Nested Loops region of the TernQuest map — a loop inside a loop. It is aligned to California Common Core standard 1B-AP-10. Children work through 0 grade-tagged questions at the reason level (reasoning it through), and Pip the tern offers a hint — never the answer — when they get stuck.
How does it unlock?
Skills on the map unlock in order: finishing the skill before this one with a mastery score of 60 or more opens when to loop. A grown-up can also assign it directly from the dashboard, and teachers can assign it to a whole class with a join code.
