What is “What comes next?”?

What comes next? is a Kindergarten – 1st grade coding skill in the Patterns Path region of the TernQuest map — what comes next? find & build the rule. It is aligned to CSTA K-12 Computer Science Standards standard 1A-AP-08. Children work through 20 grade-tagged questions at the recall level (quick recall), and Pip the tern offers a hint — never the answer — when they get stuck.

How does it unlock?

Skills on the map unlock in order: finishing the skill before this one with a mastery score of 60 or more opens what comes next?. A grown-up can also assign it directly from the dashboard, and teachers can assign it to a whole class with a join code.
