What is “th & wh”?

th & wh is a Kindergarten reading skill in the Digraph Den region of the TernQuest map — sh · ch · th · wh — two letters, one sound. It is aligned to California Common Core standard RF.1.3a. Children work through 22 grade-tagged questions at the recall level (quick recall), and Pip the tern offers a hint — never the answer — when they get stuck.

How does it unlock?

Skills on the map unlock in order: finishing the skill before this one with a mastery score of 60 or more opens th & wh. A grown-up can also assign it directly from the dashboard, and teachers can assign it to a whole class with a join code.
