Text Feature Lookout is a 1st grade – 2nd grade reading skill in the Fact Finders Field region of the TernQuest map — real facts, headings and captions, word rules and word clues. It is aligned to California Common Core State Standards standard RI.2.5. Children work through 24 grade-tagged questions at the apply level (applying the idea), and Pip the tern offers a hint — never the answer — when they get stuck.
How does it unlock?
Skills on the map unlock in order: finishing the skill before this one with a mastery score of 60 or more opens text feature lookout. A grown-up can also assign it directly from the dashboard, and teachers can assign it to a whole class with a join code.
