Tense travelers

What is “Tense travelers”?

Tense travelers is a 5th grade reading skill in the Grammar Gorge region of the TernQuest map — tense, joining words & word hunts. It is aligned to California Common Core standard L.5.1d. Children work through 24 grade-tagged questions at the apply level (applying the idea), and Pip the tern offers a hint — never the answer — when they get stuck.

How does it unlock?

Skills on the map unlock in order: finishing the skill before this one with a mastery score of 60 or more opens tense travelers. A grown-up can also assign it directly from the dashboard, and teachers can assign it to a whole class with a join code.
