Symbols and holidays is a 3rd grade social studies skill in the Citizens' Circle region of the TernQuest map — rights, citizens and our symbols. It is aligned to California Common Core standard 3.4.6. Children work through 20 grade-tagged questions at the apply level (applying the idea), and Pip the tern offers a hint — never the answer — when they get stuck.
How does it unlock?
Skills on the map unlock in order: finishing the skill before this one with a mastery score of 60 or more opens symbols and holidays. A grown-up can also assign it directly from the dashboard, and teachers can assign it to a whole class with a join code.
