What is “Stay safe online”?

Stay safe online is a 5th grade coding skill in the Computers & Safety region of the TernQuest map — parts, networks & staying safe. It is aligned to California Common Core standard 1B-NI-05. Children work through 0 grade-tagged questions at the apply level (applying the idea), and Pip the tern offers a hint — never the answer — when they get stuck.

How does it unlock?

Skills on the map unlock in order: finishing the skill before this one with a mastery score of 60 or more opens stay safe online. A grown-up can also assign it directly from the dashboard, and teachers can assign it to a whole class with a join code.
