What is “Speed & energy”?

Speed & energy is a 4th grade science skill in the Energy Everywhere region of the TernQuest map — speed, transfers, collisions & converters. It is aligned to California Common Core standard 4-PS3-1. Children work through 0 grade-tagged questions at the apply level (applying the idea), and Pip the tern offers a hint — never the answer — when they get stuck.

How does it unlock?

Skills on the map unlock in order: finishing the skill before this one with a mastery score of 60 or more opens speed & energy. A grown-up can also assign it directly from the dashboard, and teachers can assign it to a whole class with a join code.
