Sorting rules is a 3rd grade coding skill in the Puzzle Logic region of the TernQuest map — patterns, grids & the order of events. It is aligned to CSTA K-12 Computer Science Standards standard 1B-DA-06. Children work through 20 grade-tagged questions at the apply level (applying the idea), and Pip the tern offers a hint — never the answer — when they get stuck.
How does it unlock?
Skills on the map unlock in order: finishing the skill before this one with a mastery score of 60 or more opens sorting rules. A grown-up can also assign it directly from the dashboard, and teachers can assign it to a whole class with a join code.
