What is “Skip counting”?

Skip counting is a Kindergarten math skill in the Counting Cove region of the TernQuest map — count, recognize & order numbers. It is aligned to California Common Core standard 2.NBT.2. Children work through 21 grade-tagged questions at the recall level (quick recall), and Pip the tern offers a hint — never the answer — when they get stuck.

How does it unlock?

Skills on the map unlock in order: finishing the skill before this one with a mastery score of 60 or more opens skip counting. A grown-up can also assign it directly from the dashboard, and teachers can assign it to a whole class with a join code.
