Shape family tree
Practise shape family tree in TernQuest →What is “Shape family tree”?
Shape family tree is a 5th grade math skill in the Grid Harbor region of the TernQuest map — plot points, sort shape families, and crack pattern rules. It is aligned to California Common Core standard 5.G.4. Children work through 24 grade-tagged questions at the reason level (reasoning it through), and Pip the tern offers a hint — never the answer — when they get stuck.
How does it unlock?
Skills on the map unlock in order: finishing the skill before this one with a mastery score of 60 or more opens shape family tree. A grown-up can also assign it directly from the dashboard, and teachers can assign it to a whole class with a join code.
