Rounding round-up is a 3rd grade math skill in the Measure Mesa region of the TernQuest map — round, measure, time & area. It is aligned to California Common Core standard 3.NBT.1. Children work through 26 grade-tagged questions at the apply level (applying the idea), and Pip the tern offers a hint — never the answer — when they get stuck.
How does it unlock?
Skills on the map unlock in order: finishing the skill before this one with a mastery score of 60 or more opens rounding round-up. A grown-up can also assign it directly from the dashboard, and teachers can assign it to a whole class with a join code.
