What is “Plants need sun & water”?

Plants need sun & water is a Kindergarten science skill in the Habitats region of the TernQuest map — who lives where, and why. It is aligned to California Common Core standard 2-LS2-1. Children work through 0 grade-tagged questions at the apply level (applying the idea), and Pip the tern offers a hint — never the answer — when they get stuck.

How does it unlock?

Skills on the map unlock in order: finishing the skill before this one with a mastery score of 60 or more opens plants need sun & water. A grown-up can also assign it directly from the dashboard, and teachers can assign it to a whole class with a join code.
