Practise picture language in TernQuest →What is “Picture language”?
Picture language is a 4th grade reading skill in the Figurative Forest region of the TernQuest map — idioms, roots & deep reading. It is aligned to California Common Core standard L.4.5a. Children work through 31 grade-tagged questions at the reason level (reasoning it through), and Pip the tern offers a hint — never the answer — when they get stuck.
How does it unlock?
Skills on the map unlock in order: finishing the skill before this one with a mastery score of 60 or more opens picture language. A grown-up can also assign it directly from the dashboard, and teachers can assign it to a whole class with a join code.
