Multi-step missions

What is “Multi-step missions”?

Multi-step missions is a 4th grade math skill in the Big Number Basin region of the TernQuest map — huge numbers, comparing & multi-step missions. It is aligned to California Common Core standard 4.OA.3. Children work through 24 grade-tagged questions at the reason level (reasoning it through), and Pip the tern offers a hint — never the answer — when they get stuck.

How does it unlock?

Skills on the map unlock in order: finishing the skill before this one with a mastery score of 60 or more opens multi-step missions. A grown-up can also assign it directly from the dashboard, and teachers can assign it to a whole class with a join code.
