What is “Lines on the globe”?

Lines on the globe is a 4th grade social studies skill in the Latitude Landing region of the TernQuest map — directions, lines and map tools. It is aligned to California Common Core standard 4.1.2. Children work through 20 grade-tagged questions at the apply level (applying the idea), and Pip the tern offers a hint — never the answer — when they get stuck.

How does it unlock?

Skills on the map unlock in order: finishing the skill before this one with a mastery score of 60 or more opens lines on the globe. A grown-up can also assign it directly from the dashboard, and teachers can assign it to a whole class with a join code.
