Land & water on maps is a 1st grade – 2nd grade science skill in the Earth's Changing Land region of the TernQuest map — slow changes, fast changes, land & water. It is aligned to Next Generation Science Standards standard 2-ESS2-2. Children work through 20 grade-tagged questions at the recall level (quick recall), and Pip the tern offers a hint — never the answer — when they get stuck.
How does it unlock?
Skills on the map unlock in order: finishing the skill before this one with a mastery score of 60 or more opens land & water on maps. A grown-up can also assign it directly from the dashboard, and teachers can assign it to a whole class with a join code.
