What is “Fraction plot explorer”?

Fraction plot explorer is a 4th grade math skill in the Fraction Plot Pier region of the TernQuest map — read fractional measurements, compare them, and solve problems from line plots. It is aligned to California Common Core State Standards standard 4.MD.4. Children work through 28 grade-tagged questions at the reason level (reasoning it through), and Pip the tern offers a hint — never the answer — when they get stuck.

How does it unlock?

Skills on the map unlock in order: finishing the skill before this one with a mastery score of 60 or more opens fraction plot explorer. A grown-up can also assign it directly from the dashboard, and teachers can assign it to a whole class with a join code.
