Events

What is “Events”?

Events is a 5th grade coding skill in the Events & Functions region of the TernQuest map — when this happens, run that. It is aligned to CSTA K-12 Computer Science Standards standard 1B-AP-10. Children work through 20 grade-tagged questions at the recall level (quick recall), and Pip the tern offers a hint — never the answer — when they get stuck.

How does it unlock?

Skills on the map unlock in order: finishing the skill before this one with a mastery score of 60 or more opens events. A grown-up can also assign it directly from the dashboard, and teachers can assign it to a whole class with a join code.
