What is “Conditions in a program”?

Conditions in a program is a 3rd grade coding skill in the If / Then region of the TernQuest map — if this, then that — else!. It is aligned to California Common Core standard 1B-AP-10. Children work through 0 grade-tagged questions at the apply level (applying the idea), and Pip the tern offers a hint — never the answer — when they get stuck.

How does it unlock?

Skills on the map unlock in order: finishing the skill before this one with a mastery score of 60 or more opens conditions in a program. A grown-up can also assign it directly from the dashboard, and teachers can assign it to a whole class with a join code.
