What is “Add within 10”?

Add within 10 is a Kindergarten math skill in the Addition Alley region of the TernQuest map — add within 10, then within 20. It is aligned to California Common Core standard K.OA.5. Children work through 32 grade-tagged questions at the recall level (quick recall), and Pip the tern offers a hint — never the answer — when they get stuck.

How does it unlock?

Skills on the map unlock in order: finishing the skill before this one with a mastery score of 60 or more opens add within 10. A grown-up can also assign it directly from the dashboard, and teachers can assign it to a whole class with a join code.
