A hero's story is a 1st grade – 2nd grade social studies skill in the Hero Hill region of the TernQuest map — people who made a difference. It is aligned to California History-Social Science Content Standards standard 2.5. Children work through 20 grade-tagged questions at the apply level (applying the idea), and Pip the tern offers a hint — never the answer — when they get stuck.
How does it unlock?
Skills on the map unlock in order: finishing the skill before this one with a mastery score of 60 or more opens a hero's story. A grown-up can also assign it directly from the dashboard, and teachers can assign it to a whole class with a join code.
